Its not a very clear picture,
but here is my premature son,
I never thought I’d take his photo,
of us at Christmas, having fun.
He’s bought so much joy to my life,
he’ll be 18 at Christmas time,
the 2oth of December,
my boy came too early, but was fine!
The worry and stress of having him,
of the Doctors telling me he might not make it through,
made every single second worth it,
He’s made all of my dreams come true.
Such an easy and cuddlesome baby,
not a second of stress I regret,
thats why this is my favourite Christmas photo,
the day I will never forget! x

Our daughter proving that Christmas magic was still very strong last year at the very grown up age of 9 when Santa managed to deliver a piano on Christmas Eve! We had a lot of help from some very kind elves as money was tight, the piano was donated by an elderly gentleman who said it hadn’t been used in 20 years but as you can see it was very welcomed here and so magical it went on to get my daughter a merit in her grade 1 exam.

First Christmas all together for a good few years as previous years husband always had to work on Christmas Day and so unlike so many families we did not have a “family Christmas” so last year it was great him being off for the day and all the family spending the day together. This year he’s having to work the whole day again.

My mother in law died shortly before Christmas one year after a long illness. As she lived abroad we had to take our youngest son out of school during preparations for the school Nativity play. Rather than being left out, some of the mums got together and made him this great costume so that he remained centre stage and didn’t feel left out

My son’s first Christmas! He loved it, was so excited by everything, and slept like a log all night!

This is my son, Casper, engaging in his favourite Christmas pastime of pulling all the decorations off the lower half of the tree! He has been caught red-handed behind the tree – but how can you be cross with that cheeky smile?!?

I was bursting with pride as my son was one of the kings in the christmas school play and what a great job he did even if he was a little nervous. Unfortunately as he placed his gift of gold at the side of the crib a fellow king was stood on his cape which made moving slightly difficult. With a quick pull of his cape he was free and a round of applause from the audience filled the room. A play to remember for years to come and a picture for hs 18th birthday for sure
