Competition: Where’s Santa?!

By Friday, October 9, 2015 413 1

The build up to Christmas has started. There’s no escaping from it. It’s October, the shops are stocking stockings and decorations. This means good ol’ Saint Nick is going to have to get back to work pretty soon. Our question is… What has he been doing for the last year? Has he gone somewhere tropical this whole time? Is he backpacking through Europe? Maybe he stopped over at Disneyland, the possibilities are endless.

That’s why we’re going to leave it to you to figure out where he might have been. Type in the comments section below where your answer to the question ‘Where has Santa been spending his time all year’ and the most creative, funny or obscure answer could win you one of our beautiful 7ft 2in Warm White Blossom Trees.

The competition will close at midnight on Sunday 18/10/2015 and we will announce our favourite answer and the winner the following day. We will also be awarding a 10% discount to the top ten answers to be used on their next order with us.

Gardens and Homes Direct reserves the right to remove any answers deemed inappropriate or offensive. Entrants must reside within the UK.

Good Luck!

Santa was actually in jail fir half the year as he got caught trying to smuggle a huge amount of twinkies from America , president Obama sentence him to 6 months in jail , after Santa did his jail time he then moved on to the buying and selling of cars and spent most his time filling out paper work fir max on eastenders . He’s keeping the business alive .

I’ve spotted him often! He works as a traffic warden near our local school. He thinks his clever disguise will fool people but I know better! He’s a right miserable so and so too – think he wears out all his ‘niceness’ on Christmas Eve and now he doesn’t give a figgy-pudding!

I think Santa has been having a Busman’s holiday and helping the tooth fairies collecting teeth and leaving a coin under the pillow. He has such a good knowledge of all the houses and can use his magic key to help the fairies 🙂

Santa had a whistle-stop holiday. He spent some time in Tinseltown enjoying a pizza (deep pan, crisp and even of course) before visiting his three allotments so that he could hoe, hoe, hoe. He then visited a friend with low elf-esteem before going to a mystery location due to a clause in his contract.

Santa bagged himself a bonus for all his hard work last year and spent it wisely on a business class ticket to somewhere sunny so he could get some well deserved ARE. ..Adventure, Rest and Relaxation . Santa saw the new year in in style partying at Circular Keye in Sydney and watching the spectacular firework display . While ringing in 2015 he made a new years resolution to get fit and see somee of the World’s most beautiful places and wonders after all, he worked so hard in 2014 his Elves surpassed their toy targets and got a head start on the 2015 Nice List. So he spent four weeks travelling the east coast of Australia and enjoying the sIghtfield from surfing at Bondi, to sky-diving at Misson Beach, camping under the amazing night sky on Fraser Island and diving at the Great Barrier Reef. Santa enjoyed himself so much and knew his holidays were coming to an end s the boys and girls needed work to start on their perfect Christmas…but he hadn’t reached his fitness goal as after all, those milk and cookies don’t walk themselves off! There was only one thing for it… a trek through the Rainforest in Borneo to walk on the wild side and shed those pounds on his why back to North Pole to his workshop and orders for 2015

On January 2nd 2015 Santa checked himself into a Seniors Weight-Loss Boot Camp, as part of a last-ditch attempt to win back the affections of Mother Christmas, who for the previous 17 months had been carrying on a secret dalliance with Santa’s chief Elf helper, an extremely lithe and fit young man with the ability to bench press a weight equivalent to Santa. He spent eight months overhauling his entire lifestyle, learning a totally new way of eating, one in which there is no place for stöllen, lebkuchen or bûche de Noël, but where lean reindeer can be an excellent source of protein.
An important part of boot camp was the one-on-one counselling he received to try to get to the roots of his overeating, and the real breakthrough came when he was finally able to admit to himself that being Santa was not something he had ever desired, and he only ended up in the role because he was the only son, and didn’t have the heart or the courage to disappoint his father, a smiling despot who ruled the North Pole with a rod of steel disguised as a candy cane.
After this revelation, Santa, or Ché, as he subsequently decided he wished to be known as, made amazing progress: he lost 59% of his bodyweight, shaved his beard, dyed his hair platinum blonde, and initiated divorce proceedings against Mother Christmas. He left Boot Camp in September with a rucksack and a one-way ticket to Bhutan….
Tenders for the Christmas concession are invited, and in the interim, a skeleton service will be provided by Mother Christmas and the Elf Service.

    Santa’s been in Mexico
Where he’s practicing his “ho ho ho”
Swapped his jingle bells and mistletoe
    For siesta’s and a sombrero
Because December is all GO GO GO
    So for now it is
    Hasta Luego!
