it has to be a PAC-MAN soft toy, it was the Christmas when Pac-man was the top toy so to get one was great – finally Santa had read my Christmas list!

My favourite Christmas present was a torch and although my mum didn’t realise, this was because it would enable me to carry on reading under the bedclothes after I had been made to put the light out. It went on for years!

My favourite was a horse ornament that by nan bought me because I loved the racehorse Red Rum so much. We always had a flutter on the Grand National so it just evokes such wonderful childhood memories. Thank you – you reached into my archives for this one!

My all time favourite present was a box of 64 wax crayons, all in different colours. My parents looked on in dismay as I studiously ignored the beautiful doll’s house they’d spent weeks lovingly decorating and spent the whole of Christmas day, and indeed the rest of the school holidays, colouring with my crayons.

My favourite Christmas present was an awesome Sindy Dolls house. It was bigger than me! And it had a lift too – really cool. Now you’ve made me think about what happened to it? How did that go without me noticing?

My favourite ever gift was a bicycle which was named Tredly – I happened upon it behind the sofa a couple of days before Christmas and my mother spun me a very convincing yarn about how Santa had asked her if she could lend him a hand with deliveries as he was a bit hard pressed that year. I loved Tredly.

Hiya, My favourite childhood present was a cabbage patch kid. I remember my dad said he had had to trawl all the toy shops in the area to help Father Christmas to find me the present as they were so popular and stock was running out. He then had to leave it for Santa to collect before Christmas Eve. My dad only told me this story after Christmas and it has stuck with me ever since, how much trouble he went to to get me my special present.
